Because of your leadership and support, your crew will rise to any reasonable challenge set forth in their daily work, and will renew and sharpen their focus as represented by your example. You will bring a labor management toolset that equips you to resolve issues while delivering best-case outcomes, not settling for temporary or shallow results but stimulating real and positive change where needed.

  • full-time, salaried position, with default schedule during regular business hours plus on-call as needed

  • 5-8 years of increasingly responsible management experience, preferably in the Motorcoach industry, but transportation is a must.
  • 10 years of experience managing labor and/or customer-facing teams
  • 3 years Dispatch and/or Logistics experience
  • familiarity with DOT, FMCSA, NHTSA, CHP, DHS, TSA and other agency regulations related to commercial transportation
  • demonstrated ability to manage risk, safety, and logistics
  • demonstrated ability to balance customer service with employee care and company financial goals
  • exceptional written and verbal communication skills required
  • superior computer and automation skills required
  • valid California CDL and medical certificate helpful but not required
Responsibilities:
  • Exemplify All West’s safety-first culture through actions, choices and words
  • Develop driver and dispatcher personnel, team leads and culture
  • Set and measure expectations for safety, quality, efficiency and customer service
  • Celebrate and/or confront performance and personality issues head-on as needed, and take responsibility for the labor culture, with a view to uphold and advance All West’s industry-leading safety, customer service and morale standards
  • Monitor, manage and elevate Driver safety, decorum and policy adherence
  • Oversee daily dispatch schedule, and take ownership of the final decision on dispatch challenges
  • Take point on supply vendor negotiation and accountability
  • Assist management team in contract bid strategies
  • Develop and leverage granular awareness of all operations including schedules, logistics, equipment, driver dynamics, front office policies, maintenance dept. considerations and customer expectations — to deliver best-case safety, brand advancement and profitability
